"I'm usually available, though freelance schedule requires some flexibility (also allows me to teach in more places if students are near one of my gigs). I specialize in teaching classical bass, from beginner to advanced. No required texts -- recommend Simandl, Hal Robinson's "Strokin", and solos appropriate to level.

I have taught at Ball State University, Wichita State University, The Governor's School of North Carolina, St. Olaf College (string methods for music majors), and private studio teaching.

Currently I am an active freelance musician in Indiana, playing Principal Bass in the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Associate Principal in Marion, and section in Ft. Wayne and Anderson. Most recently I was Associate Principal Bass in the Honolulu Symphony and section bassist in the Bergen Philharmonic in Norway. I have studied 10 years with Eugene Levinson, Principal Bass o fthe New York Philharmonic; other studies with Paul Ellison, Hal Robinson, Peter Lloyd, Bruce Bransby, and Larry Hurst.

I also studied at the Peabody Conservatory, DMA; University of Minnesota, MM; and St. Olaf College, BA."
