: i recently bought an upright bass. i'm a lefty and i want to switch the strings around. is it as simple as that or do i really need to have a professional do it?
: (do i need to buy a left handed bridge or can i just turn it around?)

i have a 1945 kay bass that i had setup for me lefty, i'm a lefty too.
allthat has to be re worked is the "nut". then sound post has to be positioned opposite of where it is now..on the left side.
also if ur fingerboard is not radius, lik emine was (where it has a flat bevel) you'llhave to have it radius, (shaped with a curvature)

i had a guy on pa. fo it for me, i live in ny, i discovered him by accident while visitng my brother who live sin th esame area in the poconos.
call him and say i recommended you..bob tice 1 570 992 5695
