i am a lefty acoustic upright player.
i have a 1945 kay that i had setup for me lefty.
the top of the bass doesnt have to come off.
he sound post is removable and can easily be re-positioned by a upright tech..very easily...the top of the bass doent have to come off!
the nut is the only thing that has to be modified
your fingerboard might have to be if it has the flat styled bevel, as opposed to a rounded shape.
the flat bevel was ok for a righty setup cause its high side would of worked with the e string.....as a lefty my e string wouldnt of sat well over it ..so i had a rounded shape put into the fingerboard..or a sits called "radiused"
in the end it works great!

i dont have my itemixed bill for th eworkin fornt of me....but i recommend calling the guy who did my work....bob tice, located in pa. 570 992 5695
le thim know u spoke to me, jack frisch and remind him he worke don my lefty a few years back..he'll remember me. bob is an incredible luthier. i trust him bigtime.

jack frisch
