: I'm comparing gallien-kruger's mb150s112 and the upgraded mb150e112.
: Any thoughts on the two amps, or advantages/disadvantages? I play electric
: and upright, but not small rooms,so the size of these amps are perfect.

I used the GK MB150E (effects) for about two years and before that I had an SWR 1X12 that I really didn't like at all so often times I would borrow my guitar players GK KB150S (standard). I have used both a lot and I think the standard is your best bet. The extra boost on the E is not worth the extra money and if you are into using effects which I never was the chorus is not that great you would be better off with one of those little boxes. I play double bass and it works well with it. If you are to get the full 150 you need the extension speaker otherwise its just 90 watts. It is so hard to sound how you want in every room it can be frustrating. I now have a Clarus Amp and a Euphonic Audio 2x8 and I am much, much happier. It weighs a little more but it is worth it. Good luck!!!
