: I was just seeing how many of you are out there. I'm a bass student soon to be performance major interested in meeting some other female bass players who take their playing seriously. We seem so few and far between that its nice to meet sometimes and talk about stuff. Like how to deal with the male memebers of your section! hehehe. Anyways I'd really enjoy it if you emailed me. Just tell me how long you've been oplaying and were you are in your studies that kinda thing. Funny stories are welcome too! Are try and get back to you. Later -KatieHey Carol:
My real name is Briggette 30 years old, played for 15 years. I love playing bass, I slap too.
I love playing with guys-cause it all comes down to I can play.
Of course they try to pickup on me; however I try to keep away from that, it can hurt a bands relationship. I made an exception to my rule one time and it broke my heart. I played the whole night crying. I slept with him once and I guess I wanted more companionship at the time. He was my lead guitarist. My drummer also in the band at the time and who was a young hot female drummer warned me not to go there. But I suppose I deserved it. My playing has always spoken for itself. I find tons of jealousy with woman at some of the clubs I play. They see me up there playing and see the other members smiling at me.
Giving me attention. Some have even said "Excuse me" and kind of shoved me out of the way. That really upset me I started crying and ran backstage. I'm fairly good looking. Size 7 125lbs Jet Black hair pail skin. Mild chest, hour glass figure. I don't consider myself even a 6 or 7 maybe that if I wanted to.
What should I do Carol. At times those woman really intimidate me. I get hit on sometimes by other woman that doesn’t bother me because their very nice to me and very good looking. What I'm trying to say is I just love playing and the world is not a nice place. I treat people like kings and queens plus go out of my way to help them.
Please send your advice Carol.
All the Best! Briggette…
