Feedback will always be a problem in a rock type setting, with the setup you are using. There are a few tricks that I have found to mimimize and somtimes erase feedback problems. The first, and usually best way, is to block the F-holes with foam, or masking tape(as long as it won't mar the finish). Another trick you can use which has 2 advantages, is to point the amp right at the wall, and fairly close. This keeps the sound waves from hitting the instrument directly, and gives you a fuller sound, as it fills the room. I hope I have been of some help!
