: i'm playing double bass in a rock setting and find i have plenty of problems
: with feedback at the requisite (loud) volume. i'm using a realist pickup and a
: gallien krueger mb150s combo for my '64 kay bass. before i max out the volume
: on my rig, the bass feeds back on open strings and overtones. i've tried
: running the amp through another cabinet for increased volume, and pointing the
: cabinet away from my bass, and this seems to add some volume without extra
: feedback. when the speaker points away from me though, this obviously makes
: intonation and blend more of a problem.
: any ideas on muffling parts of the bass, or certain electronics setups that can
: reduce feedback and allow me to play at a high volume?
: many thanks,

You need a K&K bass max and then you won't have to go to any drastic measures that have been mentioned.
Hope you have as much success with you're K&K as I have.
