Recommendations for EUB for Travel, Practice?

I posted below (and an hour ago in a vanishing post) that I recently played an Eminence EUB for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised both by its action and ease of bowing, as well as by the quality of the tone (though the volume, predictably, is minimal).

Since I have to travel on business a lot, I'm considering getting a detachable-neck EUB that packs down to the size of a set of golf clubs, or thereabouts. The objective is to be able to use it like a percussionist uses a drum pad - to keep the chops at least somewhat tuned when I can't play a real bass. Low volume is actually a plus for this purpose, since I need to be able to play it in a hotel room without causing guests in the adjacent rooms to call the cops.

I only play classical music (at least now), so my only interest in electronics is their effect on the resale value of the instrument.

That said, I'd love to hear what EUBs might suit the purposes I've described, and the pros and cons of the various makes and models on the market.

Thanks for any and all responses.
