: I currently am playing steel strings on my upright and would like something a little easier on the fingers as I play Bluegrass music.
: The LaBella Deep Talking Bass Strings are presently what I am considering
: going to next which looks like they would be alot easier on the fingers.
: Has anyone used these strings or currently using them and if so would you please share your thoughts on this certain brand of strings.
They are used by Ron Carter, Buster Williams and Mads Vinding.
They are thicker gauge than regular steel strings, but lower tension.
The tone is very clear and twangy at first, and takes a few weeks to settle in.
Listen to the contemporary work of Ron Carter and Buster Williams and decide if you like that tone.
They are indeed easier to play though.
