: Well. just wondering if anybody is using this little amp yet. It is really new but mabe somebody has stumbled onto the greatest secret. The Clarus 1 is a great little amp and I use it and love it. Just wondering if it is possible to run a mic and piezo out of the same little unit. I have an Audio Technica ATM35 that I prefer to use whenever possible and maybe could blend the two with this amp. Still searching. Thanks, Michael

Yes, the Clarus 2 was at NAMM in Nashville- here's a photo I took of it:

It will do what you have in mind. As you will see, the second channel has an XLR in. The Clarus 2 also has digital reverb and is rated at 350w/2 ohms, just slightly more than the original Clarus. FYI, I am an Acoustic Image dealer.

Also would like to point you to a mic system specifically for double bass, that I assisted in the design with and sell, which will let you blend the two at a tiny two channel preamp that you can then plug into your Clarus. I use one with my Contra. See http://www.bobthebassguy.com/bassmic.html
