: : Don't worry! Take the thing to your local string shop and tell them what is happening. They can fix it or refer you to someone. It could just need a fretboard dressing and a set-up. It may need a new fretboard if it is old and the board is too thin to be dressed. Either way it can be fixed... Is it used or new? I say get a full set-up and some strings if need be. It will be a joy to play!

: It's brand new, so i hope it can be helped! thanks for the encouragement!

If it's brand new it shouldn't buzz at all ! -- like our friend says it could just need the fingerboard dressing but it could be other things such as a poor set of strings ( loose windings etc ) , a bass bar coming adrift (unlikely on a new instrument) or ( and this s VERY common ) endpin vibrating - this can be cured really easily.
If , as you say , it's brand new and you bought it from a reputable dealer they should be only too willing to sort it out for you free of charge -- their reputation depends on satisfied customers.
Let me know how you get on .
