Sorry, Marco. This thread's so long I didn't realize who said what but the time
I posted.

That aside, I think the main advantage of soloing with the bow is that you can control
the duration of notes and matters like sustain and decay don't come into play and
possibly affect the way a line is shaped. I use gut, and I guess my point is that if
I want to play something sustained, I grab my bow. And I just won't play pizz above
a high C.
