I thought it was time to upgrade, so I traded my englehardt for a beautiful Musima. It is a hybrid with a spruce top and laminated sides. However, the tone was georgeous (to my inexperienced ears) and it played so effortlessly that I just had to get it. There was also a carved Au bear (sp?) at the shop- Romainian I believe, but i(MUCH)prefered the tone of the Musima, and it was a grand less.

It has now rekindled my enthusiasm for playing the upright. The englehardt was pretty good but was a lot more difficult to play and was too bright for my taste. Plus some of the fittings (read endpin and tuning keys) were so cheap they just anoyed me.

Does anyone have any experience or opinions on the Musima? Got to go now, I have some music to make.
