Hi,

Not that this helps much, but if you're the person
who bought a King Mor-Tone in Boston last November,
at Boston String Instrument Co., it was made in
1936. How do I know this? It was mine. I'm still
kicking myself for having sold it.

Other than that, shouldn't there be a label on the
inside of the bass, visible through one of the
f-holes?

Also, wasn't King bought by Kay around the 1950's,
which was then bought by Engelhart somewhat later?
If so, you may want to contact Engelhart.

Good luck.
