Possible better way to mount a Fishmann

This is how I've been using my Fishman pickup for the past two or three years. Both units are placed under the E-string side of the bridge, with a little rosin applied to keep them from slipping. I get much more of the body of the instrument this way, with none of the scratchiness the Fishman is known for. The sound is clear, though, and not muddy. It is absolutely essential, however, for the bridge to be completely flat against the units, or it can rattle slightly. This is a plywood bass. Craig Rasband
