Ina related vein, has anyone purchased one of those training programs for "perfect pitch"??

: Just been wondering about perfect pitch(i know its not exactly a double bass-related question, but what the heck). Does anyone know for sure - or is that possable - if perfect pich is to do woth aural memory or if it is in fact the ability to recognise the pitches. I was thinking that it has to simply be memory because musical pitch has become gradually sharper of the last few hundred years. A 430 has becomce A 442 or A 444 in some orchestras(!). Any thoughts?
