Glad you were able to find a spacing to fit your playing, but there are different preferences for people who, say, play pizz, as opposed to play arco all the time, or maybe those who do both. A lot of jazz pizz players like a narrower spacing, like yours, or a more aggressive player may be more comfortable with a wider setting, like most legit arco players. Then there's the whole question of, does it make a difference in the tone quality if you space the strings wider as opposed to narrower? This is what I'm still asking after making some changes back and forth. I'm currently at 1 1/32" and play jazz and classical.
