I've heard of folks going to an auto body shop that specialized in Corvette repairs, but I've no personal experience.

I would check out the Unofficial Ampeg page in the EUB section of the Double Bass Links Page. Two people who I would also think may be knowledgeable in this area would be Steve Azola and Ray Rameirez, both of whom are in the same section.
