: I was curious what kind of cars other bass players drove. My bass does not fit in my car. Do I have to get a station wagon?
Yo,BassBros:

I can fit my 5/8 size bass neatly into my 2000 Saturn SC2 3-door without yo much difficulty.
It has a small(about 20"wide)door on the driver's side, behind the driver's side door, which allows access to the rear without having to tip the driver's seat down. By putting the front passenger seat all the way down,I ram the bass in scroll first. It rests diagonally across the cabin. The Saturn SC2 is an econo-box gussied up like a sportscar. It's body is mostly plastic,so it weighs about 1800 lbs. I gets 36 miles to the gallon. With its light weight and 124hp engine,it has excellent accelleration, which I increased by keeping a 40 lb bag of potasium cholride pellets(for my home's water purification system)in the trunk(boot to you,Andy)at all time. It's great fun accellerating past much classier and expensive cars, let me tell you!
