: Does anyone know what transcription Edgar Meyer used for his recording of the Bach Cello Suites and where the music is available? Thanks.

Mel-Bay has a book called J.S. Bach for Bass. It was tablatured for electric bass, but it has the notes written out for bass clef, so I just white out the tablature with a xerox machine and read away. It does not include all of the cello suites, only a couple of movements of a few of the suites. But there's still months worth of work in them, including several of the pieces that Edgar does, like that gorgeous prelude in D minor (track 1 I think), and that upbeat prelude in G major (track 7 I think).
The real nice thing is that you can probably find it anywhere that sells Mel-Bay books, which is basically everywhere.
Definitely worth checking out!
