: I"m shopping around for basses and with the amount of money I have at this time adn the work I"m going to be doing with the bass, I'm probably going to get a strunal. I've seen both the 5/35 and 5/20- on several pages they are described the same, but the 5/35 is a little more expensive. Does anyone know the difference between the two? Or does have any comments on these bass(es)? Also, does anyone know of another brand or company that makes fairly good basses that are not too terribly expensive.I don't want to purchase one until I have a little more of an idea about them. There are no luthiers in this area and local music stores don't know too much about basses, let alone have a good selection to try out. I might try and go the extra mile and get a lewis for a little more money, but if it's possible to get a good sound out of a cheaper model, like one of the strunals, I'll purchase one of them. information or suggestions would be appreciated, many thanks... I was not happy with my Lewis (I think it was a Musima). Play the bass you want to buy - it may involve travel or shipping - for $300.00 you could buy some peace of mind. I have not played a Strunal but I like what I've read. Keep asking questions. Al
