I do not know about left handed instruments. I know a lot of double bassists that are left handed but use normal basses and play like if they were right handed. I think it was harder for them at the beggining but after a while, those people seem to play more easily with their left hand than a lot of other players. It may be an advantage!

: : I would like to know if there is somebody well Knowledgeable about double bass construction. I need help to identify how mesurements and things you need to have in mind when you built a lefthanded instrument.

: : I heard fron a luthier in Argentina that in terms to make it sound correctly you have to bilt it the same way you built a righthanded one but totaly inverted.
: : That take one that is already built and change the sound post and others components is a total mistake.

: : thanks in advance for any help on this matter
: : ans sorry for any written mistakes but english is not my first language
