: : Koby , If you can`t get hold of Golden Spirals the Rotosound Superb G & D make excellent replacements . They have a nylon filament core with a flat nylon winding . I use these with a Thomastik Dominant E & A which have a very similar core and so give a balanced sound , they are flat steel wound . The reason I don`t use Rotosound Superb E`s & A`s is that they are round wound I personally don`t like round wound strings ! If you want to stay with a one make set Rotosound do a set called set called "Supreme" which has the same core as Superbs (I checked with the makers on this) but has a flat steel winding -- I used to use the E & A from this set but found I get better tone from the Thomastiks. Hope this has been of some help - Andy.
I´m confused, I use Rotosound Superbs (RS 4000) they are flatwound on the E and A - not round wound.
