Not long ago I went to a master-class Edgar gave in Amsterdam when he was there for a cond-cert in the Concertgebouw. And indeed Christopher is right. Edgar checked several different sources, of wich several facsimilis and transcribed it himself. He played a little piece of the 5th suite at the masterclass, and as I was able to observe he used a reguler orchestral tuning with his E tunud down to B with a special-made extension. So you won't find any transcriptions in print from him. But good news for Meyer fans out there. I heard out of first hand that he is working on editions of his own works and concerto's for bass, and also an new cd with all his concerto's, so also that of violin etc. So be patient, he is working on it, but as he told he, he is a slow working, as long as it doesn't concerns bass anyway! Greetz, Matt
