: : What kind of jazz gigs do you usually do? Is this a small ensemble or big band?

: I am getting ready to do a trio---bass, guitar and vox. I have played tons and tons of gigs in many styles but only a few jazz gigs. I just would like to hear a few other viewpoints on the subject. In case I am overlooking something etc... We will be using charts and books and I will be able to get a few rehearsals in beforehand (which is nice).

So, are we talking reading notes? Or lead sheets with chord symbols, etc.
