I am extremely happy with my Wan Bernadel bass. You can see it at the link that I typed below. It is a very responsive bass and and for a new bass, almost plays as well as my old, expensive French bass.
thanks,
Steve

: : I am buying a new fully-carved string bass. I am considering a top of the line Chinese which cost $3,400 or a Wilfer which costs $5,500. Any thoughts about which way to go? Any horror stories about either bass?

: my chinese bass (by shen) kills everything i've played under $9k. i've had no structural problems with it.
