My luthiers(both of them) agreed that my neck was too far gone for heat treatment(it had 4 peaks and dips and 2 twists!!), and one would only just shake his head while examining it. LOL. The other one was willing to undergo the drastic measures I suggested because we had nothing to lose, and I was going to pay him for his time, either way.

: By all means explore as many conventional methods before undertaking something as drastic as I recommended..... in my case it was an option that worked.

hi... thanks for the advices. i have other instruments, so my Ibanez have been sitting in the closet for a while... so... I really have nothing to loose. i will ask my luthier friend to do what you did to your insrument... wish me (and my Ibanez) luck....
