Hi there,

I recently had the opportunity to take home a Line 6 Bass POD Pro for the weekend. It's a good little unit considering it's rackmountable...very light in weight. Sound wise, however, I wasn't that impressed.

For recording, the Line 6 is a blessing. For live performances, however, it can be a big pain. If you're looking for a good head for recording purposes and want a good reliable piece of equipment without having to lug a cabinet into the studio, the Line 6 may be what you're looking for. If you're looking for effects, it may be better to go with a digital effects unit or a floor unit.

My personal recommendations are the Alesis Midiverb 4, the DigiTech BP8, or if you're looking for something completely insane, the Eventide stuff is REALLY gnarly!

Zach
