I personly feel nothing beats finger on string.
Sound wise and what it allows technically.
But, there are some great pick players out there.
Carol Kaye comes to mind. She uses flat wound strings to get a
fatter sound. You really should try that. Thomastick makes
really good flat wounds.
Justin Meldal Johnson from Beck is an absolute bitchen pick player.
Made me think differently about pick playing.
