i'm a shipping supervisor, and being in shipping i often work up to 60 hours a week, from 9 in the morning till early hours of the next morning. so it doesn't leave any time for my bass. which really sucks. unfortunalty i can't keep a bass in my office, i would most likly loose my job. but i can sympathize with you. so what do i do to keep myself going? all my life i have loved music, it's only been in the last couple years that i have started to play it. it's my passion to hear the low melodious thump rumbling through to my feet from my Gallien-Krueger 400rb ... my job provides me with no satisfaction whatsoever, but five minutes (even listening to) playing my bass before i go to bed, or when i get up ... gives me the urge to play more, to strive to become a better bassist. i find that playing along with CD's helps me out tremendoulsy (seeings how i have no time to join a band), it gives me a desire to learn more. but you still have to make time, you've been given a talent ... DON'T WASTE IT.
