: Ok...i dont know what it is...

: When i play on my E, it kinda flops around and has tremendous frett buzz...
: It also kinda clicks when i play...

: Is it my bass or just my crappy technique?

: Any advice would be appreciated...Thanx.

Ok, I've only been playing for a year, so I don't know heaps...but here goes...

The fret buzz is most likely because the action is too low (the strings are too close to the fret board) or you play it too hard. You can adjust the cation by raising the saddles (the bits at the body end of the bass that hold the strings) or you can bow the neck more. This is done by tightening the rod that runs through the inside of the neck (usually tighten at the top near the head, or at the base of the neck near the body). I had this problem when I bought my bass, took 10 mins to fix.

the clickiness....um... not sure on that one. It could be the strings hitting the frets, or they may be hitting something else, say the pickups?? Beleive it or not, i find that if I don't cut my fingernails often enough, they catch on the strings and make a noticable click noise.

Hope this has helped :)
