: Does anyone know of any short scale basses currently being made, other than the Epiphone EB-0, and the Squire Bronco? My friend wants a quality short scale(he has small hands). He also has back problems, so a lightweight bass would be required also (this disqualifies the Ampeg Dan Armstrong reissue). Thanks...

There's the Epiphone Rivoli, EB-O, and Beatle bass. Rogue, Jay Turser and a few others make copies of Beatle bass' also. There's the DeArmond Starfire. Gretch has a short scale solid body. hmmm... makes two. Then there's the Dano longhorn Pro. After that it's custom. Alembic and many other custom makers offer this option.
