: I like Ibanez soundgear 1200 or higher series, although the notes dont have as much sustain as my '70 ibanez roadster, which has the solid maple neck very simular to Fender, I prefer Ibanez because of its sleak neck design, fast action, and also because I have smaller hands than those of you monster players. But out of couriousity which bass do you prefer and why? I also prefer the SWR Working 15, and an Ampeg 2X10 Extention, it suits mainly all of my needs. Does anyone have any imput on any simular or better playing basses I may want to check out??

: thanx for your bassdom
I love my 2 DP Custom Basses. I like thin necks (I have small hands too)and
Dave builds then to my specs...feels great. Super fast action. I install the
electronics but he will do tha for you too. Very affordable. Check him out. One
of my basses is on his website...the 4 string Claro Walnut with a Seymour Duncan
1/4 pounder Jazz pickup at the neck position and a Seymour Duncan Music Man
humbucker at the bridge position with a Bartolini NTSMB-18 volt preamp
and control package. Awesome!!!! Volume, blend, bass, treble, midrange controls.
There is also a 3 position humbucker control switch for parallel, series and split.
A passive/active switch and a 3 position midrange center freq switch finish off
the control panel. This is the best bass I have ever played at any price.
