: Hey!
: I wanna start playin' bass (I'm into punk stuff)but i have no clue how to choose a proper bass and stuff... equipment.. and do i have to take lessons and stuff ?!please help me guys !!
: thanx a bunch !

She_dEviL,
I just got myself a Kramer Focus 420S bass (Precision Bass clone) for $89.95 from www.musicyo.com a few months ago, and I just *love* it! It's a great instrument for the money (it listed for $320 or so, and it's comparable to just about anything in that price range), and even for someone who's played bass for ages, it rocks!

Great bass to start on!

MusicYo has some good bass + amp packages, too, although the amps they have aren't really big enough for stage work, but they're great for practice and learning.

Hope that helps!

-Bob
