I have a Tech 21 sans amp bass driver di, I think it's an amazing sound for a stomp box. I've had it for years and never leave for a gig, or practice for that matter, without it. I lost one of the nuts that hold the jack to the metal body once, asked Tech 21 how much for a new one and within a couple days they sent me a sleeve of them with an letter thanking me for using their product. All in all I'm very impressed. I think I submitted a review at Harmoney Central actually. To get back to the original question, they have a great overdive emulation circuit, no wasp in a tin can or buzzsaw sound there. As always, try one! I bet you'll like it.
