: Lifting your amp on a stand helps guitarists not us bassists, the cabinet should resonate with the floor to get a full sound. Sadly I was to notice on last weekend's gig that they had done just that, lifted it on a stand. The soundcheck was supposed to be done already when we arrive so we go straight for the gig. The first time I really got to notice how true this is, a 4x10" Hartke cabinet is really pushed to the edge, the speakers go from side to side just behind me and I can only just hear what I'm playing. We're only a Trio + singer.
