: Okay, looks isn't a big deal, I'll say it from the start....however...black finishes get so sloppy looking with smudges, and so quickly after cleaning. Any remedy for that? I'm sure there's got to be something. I heard of something couple years ago, and forgot what it was, put it on and nothing phases the finish for weeks (or months, I forget).
Car wax. Seriously. The finish on most solid color black basses is the same paint as used on car bodies. Wax it up with a little turtle wax, and see what happenes...
This only works on solid color opaque finishes though...don't go waxing a clear finish...
I'm also curious as to whether something like the G27 scratch remover would work...I've never seen it in action, so I'm not sure if it actually works close up...but could be worth a try.
