What rigs are you going to be running? You can alway take a signal from
your effects out to another amp (padded/active input works better). My vintage sunn, I can run a plug from another
input, over to another amp. Daisy chain. You could get a splitter box and split the signal from your bass and send it to 2 amps. Morley makes one that a/b or a&b, that would work for you.
: about electric current is that it can be split easily, and without much penalty. A simple Y-adapter will do the job, unless you want to add a preamp along the way.
: And yes, you could use the y-adapter on the send/return if you don't want to mess w/ the original input. In either case make sure both amps are on the same electrical circuit, and polarized properly.
