: I'm an amateur bass builder (4 so far) and am tired of being stuck with only
: a handful of parts suppliers. I would like to have more than 2-3 bridges or 1-2
: brands of tuners, etc. Most of the manufacturers I've contacted, won't give out
: the manufacturer's name of parts they use. I've got catalogs from Stew-Mac and
: All-Parts, but they are limited. Dave, I don't really have advise as to get other hardware, but sound very similar in style to you. I'm in the middle of building my second bass. It will be a Fretless Through-neck 4 with Gotoh tuners and EMG's. Honduran Mahogany. My first was a bolt on neck of walnut and maple with Gotoh's and Armstrong pickups. I also striped and refinished a Kent Beatle bass. If you've still got the scale program, would you mind E-mailing me a copy? I'd like to build a 5 string with 35" scale. I don't have any 35" scale info, but hear it's the best way to go for a 5 string. Thanks a lot!
