: : I need opionions on this. can i get this for a better price than $199.99? is there a better one for this price. whats the difference between the gsr200 and 100? does it make a big difference in sound quality?

: I have no clue to if it's better than the 100...just listen and make up your own mind about that... I own a ???SR, I bought it 2nd hand for $350, so I think you have a good deal at that 200 one...I love my bass, although Im looking for a passive one too...

I just ordered a GSR200 from Musicians Friend. They had it for $204 with free shipping and a $10 off coupon. Drive-out was $194. I don't think you can get it cheaper than that. Guitar Center has them priced at about $250 (although they own Musicians Friend so they should be the same price)...... The GSR200 has a P/J dual pickup combo, and the GSR100 only has the P bass single split pickup. I would definitely go for the 200, as the back J pickup really gives you a better slap sound (the p-pickup sounds a bit muted to me).
