Yeah, man...I played a stiletto just last week and it was great! I'm looking to get an elite-5, but at the guitar store I went to, they only had the 4 string version. I think they get away with the price of these things because the parts are made in Korea, but they're set up at Schecter's custom shop in CA. Anyway, I played it for a few minutes and was very impressed. It had a very nice tone with both fingerstyle and slap and there are plenty of different sounds with the 2 band EQ. The body is absolutely gorgeous, honeyburst is an awesome finish and I really liked the neck-through construction. I was also attracted to this bass because of its two EMG humbucker pickups, which put out nice balanced sound. Overall, I was very pleased with this bass and I'll probably get the elite 5 someday. I know there are some things that are different between the elite and the deluxe models, but the same ease of playability is most likely found on all the stilleto basses. Good luck in your search!
