: Here's some stuff that hasn't been suggested yet. This is mostly for those who like good old 60's and 70's rock and roll.

: John Entwistle (The Who) "Quadrophenia" "Tommy" and "Who are You"

: Chris Squire (Yes) Any album from the 70's

: Tim Bogart "Beck, Bogart, and Appiece"

: Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) "Sabatage" All the old albums when Ozzy was still in the band.

: Jack Bruce (Cream) "Wheels of Fire"

: John Paul Jones (Led Zeppellin) Check them all out.

: Noel Redding (Hendrix) "Electric Lady Land".

:

: Now that I'm thinking about it there is a hell of a lot more.

: A good general rule is that the bands from this era, who made it big, all have excellent bass players. So just make a list of those great bands and you'll be sure to find many great bass players.

: Bob

JPJ's solo album Zooma is another must have, and his work"The sporting life" with Diamanda Galas. Jack Bruce's Vhorizon as well. Your right though, we could go on forever on this topic! :)
