punchy as hell. they are great. I got to play around w/ one for a while during a gig I was working on. they are fun. I really like the sound. tighter than crap, awesome midrange...and way too loud. I would kill to play that in combo w/ a 4x10 and a big head. Fun!

: Hello all,

: I've been seriously investigating the SWR Henry the 8x8. Unfortunately, there isn't a music store in Albuquerque that carries SWR equipment. I currently own a Goliath III 4x10 (which I custom-ordered), but other than that, I haven't had a chance to try out any other SWR stuff, much less the 8x8 speaker.

: I was just wondering if any of you had any experience with these kinds of speakers. I've heard they're "different"...I've heard mixed opinions on other websites and quotes. I was wondering what an 8x8 would sound like in conjunction with...say...a Big Ben 1x18, both of which being powered by an SM-900.

: Any comments or input? I'm curious to find out how the 8x8 is regarded nowadays.

: Zach

: P.S. - If any of you have any info on a used Henry the 8x8 for sale...preferably either in the Albuquerque area? I'd definitely be interested in trying one out. Thanks!
