IMHO, the stingray IS versatile. Maybe the Warwick LX is more versatile, but you can perfecly slap,tap,pick, etc. on the musicman very well. On the other hand I havenīt tested the Warwick LX, so I canīt say much.

: I have a Warwick Streamer LX 6 and I really like it. I've tested a Streamer Stage I before I bought this bass, but I don't think there is such a difference. The Stingray is a wonderful bass, but I think that it is too expensive here in Europe (like Warwicks in the US). In my opinon, the Stingray is less versatile but it's *the* bass for some music styles.
: If you have enough money, buy a Stingray and use both basses!
