I'm desperately trying to think of something to write on this board
but I'm as lost as I'm lost with my bass playing, which brings me to the endless
subject of how to get the inspiration back. I miss the days when I could practise
2 to 3 hours a day easy. Last winter that was. Now I've finally got together
a jazz band that is supposed to really get something done and now I'm worried
about the fact that I've been taking it easy for a while now, maybe I can't keep
up with the other members. I've played in different jazz bands, sure. Only this
time I've got together the most technical players in town, with the exeption of me.
It's a little joke of mine to always be faster than the guitarist, just to keep
them on the ground. :) Only this time there's no chance in h*** that I can do it
and the drummer shades everybody... äh... I don't want to try to commend the project here
the problem was that I need to practise but don't have the energy to do it and that's all.
I guess I should be the one to know best what can get me off this but you could
suggest new things to try and experiment. Just maybe me writing here does the job
as now I'm thinking more about bass playing than the short skirted babes walking along
the summery streets outside. :)
