: ok i have a fender bassman 100 combo which puts out a good 100 watts but I need more power. Can i buy some sort of a splitter cable and then purchase another decent size combo and run my bass though both of the amps? would this sound like crap and am i better off just investing in a stack? if anyone has any idea about this please let me know. thanks dudes.

I personally favour stacks but there are "boxes" that divide your signal into two. One cable going in and two coming out. I'm sure someone can explain them way better than me as I never have used one.
Also you can connect them via the send/retur if there are such on the amps.
I think that if you buy two different combos one of them is bound to be better. So it's a shame to spoil the sound with the second one just to get more volume.
