: I just purchased a Yamaha Nathan East (NE1) Parametric Equalizer unit. If any of you have heard Nathan East play, you'd know that he probably has some of the best bass tone on the planet. I have been searching long and hard to find a way to achieve a tone even remotely close to his. Finally, I have gotten the tone that I have been searching for. I had the EQ on my Roscoe bass completely flat, and this EQ unit still managed to produce some of the beefiest, most crisp, clean, wonderful tone I could ever have imagined. Slap, fingerstyle, pick, however you play, this unit is definitely worth it. My tone is saved thanks to a tiny $69 EQ unit. Finally...bass tone I can be proud of! It is truely amazing and highly recommended, and you can get it almost anywhere!

: Just sharing my rave review! Take it easy!

Hey Zach, thanks for the review. I saw it in Bass Player mag, but wondered how good could it be. I'm going to check it out next chance I get. Mr.East is buku talented, and I agree with Dave on how he cooses his notes. Pure style.
