: I've been offered to buy a Yamaha RBX6JM for $600 and was wondering if it's worth buying unseen. You see, unfurtunally, it's in another part of the country, and the local shops doesn't have the model so I can't try it :(

: Seems like an ok deal though. As a friend of mine said (that have seen and tried it) it looks brand new, with no scratches or any other aparent faults, and wireing seems ok.
: This friend is however no expert when it comes to basses, so I thought I'd pop the question here to see if anyone knows if it's good or bad.

Brak, you're not going to believe this, but, just today at another forum some other guy was asking if a deal he saw on the John Myung bass at was worth it.
M/F has it brand spanking new for $649.00 I've seen it not too long ago for $1,099.00 If you're really interested in this bass, I'd say get it from M/F,
this way if you don't like it you can return it. You probably couldn't do that
the other way, right? I've never played this bass, but two things others have said negatively about this bass are: narrow string spacing and it's heavy.(11 lbs.) If you don't think this will bother you, go for it! It sure looks nice to me. This is some timing isn't it?

Whatever you do, good luck.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!
