: I've been offered to buy a Yamaha RBX6JM for $600 and was wondering if it's worth buying unseen. You see, unfurtunally, it's in another part of the country, and the local shops doesn't have the model so I can't try it :(

: Seems like an ok deal though. As a friend of mine said (that have seen and tried it) it looks brand new, with no scratches or any other aparent faults, and wireing seems ok.
: This friend is however no expert when it comes to basses, so I thought I'd pop the question here to see if anyone knows if it's good or bad.

I played an RBX6JM once and my reaction was that hey it's not so hard to play a 6 string after all. I like it more than some Ibanez 6 strings. I might have even bought it if it hadn't cost over a 1000$. But come to think of it I just might go and check it out ones again, maybe I'll buy it after all. I've been looking for the perfect 6 string for a year now and haven't found it yet. Maybe I should settle for just a good bass. One bass I've allways wanted to try is the Yamaha Patitucci model but of course that costs more than I earn during the whole summer.
