: While we're on the subject of signal splitting, I am in need of an AB-Y box, but I want to get one that either has an adapter for plugging it in to a power board or one that runs off of a passive power source. I've looked at several, but the only ones I've been able to find run off of a 9-volt battery, and I don't exactly have enough money to keep investing in 9-volts all the time...they can run pretty expensive at times, especially when you're a poor musician like myself.

: I've looked at Rolls, Morley, and Whirlwind Selector boxes, and I know the Rolls runs on a 9-volt. Can anyone think of a box that runs on an adapter or on passive electronics rather than a 9-volt battery? If possible, does anyone know of any rackmountable units? It's probably not likely that they make them that way, but I'm just curious.

: Let me know if you find anything! Thanks a bunch!

: Zach
Hey Zach,

The Morley doesn't need a battery to work, it is only for the LED's, it is passive......and cheap........
